Enabled 3D acceleration causes sage to go very slow

Hi,

Hope someone can help me.
My current setup:
Sage 6
Conroe E6600 2GB RAM
ATI X1950 PRO video card
Cyberlink video decoder
DVB Tuner

When I choose video renderer: Overlay mode in Sage - everything works fine.
I want to take advantage of the AVIVO functions. But if I choose 3D acceleration in Sage, menu navigation becomes VERY slow and when playing video, it appears as it's playing in slow motion.

I have the latest verson of CCC. Is there a setting in Sage that I'm missing? I tried hardware acclereation in Cyberlink Power DVD with no problems.
