MB selection
Been thinking about upgrading the SageTV system. An Intel Core 2 Duo, maybe 2 gigs of ram, and a new PCI-X video card along with the existing 4 Hauppauge 150's and the My HD 130.
Looking around at Fry's yesterday, I noticed there were no mb's with 5 pci slots, most had a max of three. I need five. Any suggestions ? Ken C

I'll second Polypro's recommendation about the HDHomerun - it ROCKS!! I just built my PC, and I'm VERY happy with the build. It's fast, responsive, and silent!
I chose the new ASUS built on the Intel 975 chipset - it's the P5W DH Deluxe. The Northbridge/Southbridge run a little hot (or their sensors indicate that they are warm), but this is normal according to the manufacturer. Still, I removed the copper covers stuck to both heatsinks to allow more airflow and temps did drop a few degrees. I'm running it with 2GB of RAM, and the Core 2 Duo 6600. My graphics card is PCIx and does well. I am using Zalman coolers for CPU and graphics, and Speedfan to monitor temps and control fan speeds - works flawlessly! The board provides a lot of RAID options with SATA - I selected a RAID 5 with three 500GB drives. The board also boasts GB LAN x 2, lots of USB support, firewire x 2, WiFi, HD audio (very nice), and a few nice features to make assembly easier.

Intel makes some great MB's specifically geared to the HT Business.
The model DG965WH is a fantatsic choice in my opinion. Stay away from anduthing with a VIA chipset, you are asking for disaster. I have also had good luck with the ASUS Nvidia chipsets series. Good luck finding a MB with more than 3 pci slots
