Changing Default Watched Behavior?

Sage seems to be marking newly recorded shows "watched" when I may never have watched the recording. Is there a way to make all newly recorded programs unwatched until I play back the recording? Or can I change Sage so that it doesn't set watched/unwatched on its own and I can do it manually?

This is the default behavior. If yours is doing something different, then something is causing those shows to be played back and marked "watched". Do you by any chance have Sage configured to always show video in the menu background? Or an MVP running in another room "watching" the shows as they're recorded?

Yes. Is it possible to have that turned on and still produce the behavior I'd like to see?

When you aren't using SageTV, put it to sleep -- it will either go into screen saver mode or drop down to the system tray. Playback will cease.

As long as playback continues, it will mark what is being played as Watched.
