Help with New Install

I am installing Sage on a new HTPC. I will be using a VBOX 150 card to start with and the Firefly remote control. My first question is, do I install the "Beyond Media Basic" software that comes with the Firefly remote even though I am not using the bundled Beyond TV software? It says I need to install the software before connecting the IR receiver.

The PC will be here this week. I already have the other components ready to install.

Any other tips in setting this up would be appreciated. I will be connecting this to an HD antenna and to a Philips 47" HD LCD.

Thanks.

Yes, you need to install the BTV Basic software. It just takes the remote signals and sends the to your software, in this case Sage.

Search the forum for Sage support for the Firefly remote. It's been a while, but you need a profile (xml file) to make it work.

Let me know if you can't find it. I should still have it somewhere.

When I was using a Firefly I just set Sage to "MCE" remote and the Firefly functioned just fine.

Thanks. I can't wait to get the new system up and running. One reason I chose Sage is this user forum. I like being able to get help quickly from other users.
