Hello, I just purchased SageTV & Client, and I have a few questions? So if you could just give me some advice on
each of them I would appreciate it.

* is there a way to have SageTVClient remember which
server it is suppose to connect to

* When watching a show if you resize the window
to a smaller size the control icons shrink with the
window, until they are too small to use.

* When on the EPG, it would be handy to have controls
that would take you to a chosen day, or current time

* How can I increase the number of days in advance that
the Recording Schedule shows, I noticed that if I mark a
show as favorite, in the Recording Schedule it doesn't show
all times the show is to be recorded, is there a way to show
all times?

* Is it possible to put the shows flagged to record in
a different directory from those fragments recorded
automatically when watching live tv?

* Is there a way to stop the automatic recording of
live tv unless I hit pause, that is the only time I would
want time shifting to happen. Or delete the show
fragment when I change channel?

* Is there a way to specify screen size when watching
shows, 50%, 100%, 150% 200% of recorded size
instead of the size of the window - what I would like
is the ability to have one screen size when watching
shows and another when working the guide. I often
shrink the show into the corner while working but
when using the guide I go full screen?

* Is there a way to have the icon in system tray -
display time of next scheduled recording, along with,
what it currently shows

Let's see how many of these I can answer......

* is there a way to have SageTVClient remember which
server it is suppose to connect to
Read the SageClient manual page 23. Check the box.

* When watching a show if you resize the window
to a smaller size the control icons shrink with the
window, until they are too small to use.
You can control the size of the icons in the properties file. Look for the line: ui/dfont_adjust - amount to adjust the font sizes by in the UI

* When on the EPG, it would be handy to have controls
that would take you to a chosen day, or current time
Just click on the guide icon and you will be taken back to "current time". To advance a certian # of days through the guide enter 3 for 3 days and click the page fwd icon.

* How can I increase the number of days in advance that

all times?
SageTV does the recording schedule inteligently and just doesn't mark all the occurances. If there's a conflict it will deal with it.

Not currently with 1.4.1. SageTV2.0 may have that functionality or someone could add it.

No you can't stop the recording. I don't believe thats the only time you would really want it anyway if you reconsider. I sometimes miss something and can easily rewind to catch it again. If you only record while paused, you wouldn't have true PVR functionality. You can have SageTV automatically delete the shows by setting the following line in the properties file: seeker/delete_partials_on_exit = true. But that will only delete when you exit SageTV and I never exit. Otherwise don't worry about it. SageTV intelligently manages your hard disk space according to the paramaters you set on where and how much hard disk space to leave free. These partial files are the first files it deletes when it need more space to record your shows you have set as favorites or manual recordings.

No. Suggest that in the features thread.

No. But that type of thing has been discussed. Check the feature request thread and if it's not in there, add it.
