PVR250 suddenly went fuzzy and black and white over composite 1 input (fix included)

Hello,

I had a weird occurrence last night in which SageTV began to only record in fuzzy black and white despite my not having changed anything. The weirdest part was that it couldn't have been a tuning issue, because I'm not using my card (a Hauppauge wintv pvr250) to tune anything -- I use the exetuner plugin. I just have a settop box connected to the pvr250 via the composite input.

Nonetheless, it stopped working properly in SageTV and uninstalling/reinstalling the pvr250 drivers did nothing, the pvr250 beta drivers did nothing, yet the reception using the wintv application from Hauppauge was totally normal; sharp and full-color. I was just starting to think I should look into freqshifter (blech, that's getting a little high-maintenance for me) when I read this post from demo:

I thought I'd try taking the channel wintv2000 uses to tune in to the composite input, channel 200, and put it in my sage.properties file. I added the following line:

tv_tuner_input_num=200

Restarted SageTV and the picture is back in full color. I hope it lasts! I just wanted to post this in case anyone is experiencing the same weird behavior so maybe they can try this fix before starting to mess around with freqshifter and registry entries. I would hope it would also work for other inputs on the card which were working properly in wintv2000, if you checked what number wintv2000 used to tune in to them and substituted them for the number 200.
