Audio sync on 350 TV out
I'm using the 350 audio and video outputs with Sage.
I'm noticing that the audio is slightly ahead of the video. Sage has a audio delay in the setup screen. Does this work together with the 350 video/audio out? If no is there an other way? |

It should, have you tried changing the delay?

I tried. Did not see too much of a change. Before I got wild I wanted to check. Also it seems different on different channels...

The audio setting doesn't affect anything.
E.g. I tried +2000 ms. No difference. Is there an other way to sync audio on the 350 tv out? |

Did further tests. If I set a negative audio delay (e.g. -1200ms) sagetv begins to stutter.
Positive values still do nothing. Does anyone use the audio delay with a 350 tv out? |

I use the TV/Audio out on my 350 with no problems.
Not to state the obvious, but you are using the audio out of the 350 and not your computer's sound card, correct? The audio/video output through the 350 is out of sync with the standard output of SageTV through the vga port and sound card. -Watter |

Yes, I noticed that.
However there is a lip sync issue on the the rv/audio out of the 350. |

I have exactly the same problem - using the TVout and audio out from the 350, the sound is slightly (approx 0.1s?) ahead of the video. Changing the audio delay settings in Sage does nothing (this appears to only effect soundcard-decoded audio).
I've got the latest official 350 drivers (ie not beta ones). Is there any way to delay the audio out of the 350 by a small constant amount to bring it back in sync with the video? Cheers Barnaby |

I've got the same problem with the 350, has anyone a solution to this? I'm in Sweden so it's PAL if that has something to do with this? The sync is terrible when using the timeshift.

I'm also using the PVR-350 audio/video out with PAL (also in Sweden), but don't have any problems fixing it with the audio delay settings. My delay is set to 100-200 ms, I change it occasionally.
You are using the video/audio output of the 350, right? I'm using the 22162_mix drivers, as it seems those are most stable for me when using the 350 UI out. |

Thanks! I tested audio delay before but used too large values, I have it on 75 now and it seems ok. I'm using the 1.18.021.22254 which seems to work most of the time. I haven't used the tv-card that much because of the delay problem but I'll test it out more now.

I am suffering audio delay, and have been fixing it by pressing the rewind button.
Then after reading this thread I figured out why! I am conencting the PC to the amp via digital, not the 350 cable. I will be switching to the right wires tomorrow. |
