How do you make a Ripped DVD show as a DVD in Media Center?

How do you make a Ripped DVD show as a DVD in Media Center? To save space on my hard drive I compressed the movie alone to be 1 avi file. When I go to the imported videos section on the DVD section, it is blank, but if I view by title, I will see the movies there. I would like the movies to show up under DVD since they are a DVD. Thanks in advanced for the help.

See Appendix I in the SageTV PDF manual, found in your SageTV directory.

So is there no way to show as DVD if the file is .avi? The PDF is telling me that I need to keep the same DVD file structure.

It needs to see the DVD structure to treat is as a DVD. If it is an avi it just another video file.

I just convert all my dvd's and compress them to Nero mpeg4 files at around 300 mb/hour.
