Problem with directory structure

Hi,

I have my videos structured as follows.

c:\kids films\kids films\
within the 2'nd kids films directory, I have all my movies in thier own folders.
What Im getting when I navigate to 'my videos' is that DVD rips show up with the following title:-

/kids films/Brother Bear 2

wheras AVI containing folders show up correctly e.g
Brother Bear 2

I currently run sage 6.1.6 and the latest sagemc (it happens in the standard STV as well).

I've changed the display options to only show the folder image, not the folder image and title as a temporary workaround.

Anyone know whats going on ? I didn't have it on pre 6.0.19, but Im not sure at which release it came in.

Cheers

Mark

Were you using v6.0 already & this just happened, or did you recently upgrade to v6 from v5? If you were using SageMC prior to v6, this might be related to an issue regarding how one of the video data fields is now used in v6 & how SageMC used to use that field. If this is the case, you may have to remove the video import dirs, refresh & wait until the videos are removed, then reimport those dirs. You may want to ask for details in the customizations forum before making those re-import changes.

Hi Andy,

I don't think it is sagemc related, as it happens in the standard STV as well.
I'll try your suggestion about removing the directories and reimporting them and feed back.

(I have had sage offline for a while, and went straight into V6, not V5 when I got around to rebuilding the system).

Thanks for the suggestion.

Cheers

Hi,

I tried removing the directories and re-adding them, but no joy.
It's not a big problem overall, more of an annoyance.

The reason I have the directories structured like this is, I also have 'grown up' films on the system , so when you navigate to 'My videos' you see 2 options, Kids Films & Films.

I guess I could categorize the movies instead and use a different view.

Anyone have any other ideas ?

Cheers

Mark

Since you said there was a problem with the default UI, please attach screen captures of 1) the video folder display in Windows Explorer and 2) how it looks in the default UI, where it is not displaying correctly.

Sorry, but that is still from SageMC, not the default UI. It does not work the same as the default UI, so I have no idea what it should look like. The Folder view in the default UI will display the current path being viewed above the videos, so I can see where it thinks it is browsing. It might also be useful to see the Address bar in Windows Explorer & the path pane expanded to show the video subdirectories.

In the default UI, look at the Video Detail screen to see the full path to one of your videos.

Hi Andy,

here are the screen shots.
Apologies, It doesn't seem to be doing it in the standard view.
Should I repost in the customisations forum ?

Cheers

Then I'm fairly sure that's an effect of how SageMC works, but for confirmation and/or suggestions, you should check the SageMC thread or post in the customizations forum.
