Songs no longer play with 6.1

After I upgraded to 6.1 Sage will list my songs (all MP3s) and add them to the playing list and can search them and all the other nifty things it's supposed to do, but won't play a single note. No error messages, just nothing happens. The music playback was working fine a couple days before I upgraded from 6.0 and I haven't changed anything in regards to my music setup.

If using service mode and UNC paths for imports, make sure you've reconfigured the service to log in as the same user as before. This gets reset during the installation process.

If this is on an MVP, be sure you've unplugged the MVP for several seconds before restarting it.

Try removing the music import dirs, rescan, then add them back.

Then there's the old standy: enable debug logging to see if the log contains anything about trying to play music.

Hi,

I had the same problem on both SageTVClient and the MVP.

I think a clean installation instead of upgrading the old 6.0.19 solved it for SageTVClient.

Unfortunately I was not able to solve it for the MVP. Video files work fine but not audio files.

My solution was to wipe out 6.1.8 and make a clean 6.0.19 installation.
