Well, I was watching PVR capabilities for a LOOONNNGGG time. I had already gone to server based media distribution for all my DVD and Music needs with over 2 TB of media and 6 clients throughout the house. But I always felt that PC based PVR wasn't there yet and still used a venerable Replay 2000 for my PVR (and some torrents). Since I had gone to 3 HD sets, I really hated the low quality of SD PVR and compressed internet files. So when the HDHomerun appeared, I started researching. I am now an extremely pleased customer as despite it's warts, I now watch 100% of my TV viewing off of stuff Sage records for me. I am pretty tech savvy building, configuring and networking 100% of my own systems for ~20 years so for me all the strange configuration nuances are tolerable. So I give it an A-. Stability, HD resource requirements, and weird java errors still irk me. If I were not a computer do it yourselfer, I would still stay away from all this digital home stuff because it is just not there yet (and sadly DRM will likely take it farther away from being there even though the HW and SW like sageTV are getting closer).
