SageTV server with SageTV client recoding?
When I put mpeg-4 file on sagetv server, do server recode it to mpeg-2 to play on SageTV client?
I undestand it's happend for MVP extenders. but what happend with SageTV Client?

The server doesn't transode for SageTVClient; the client plays the file itself. If you can't play a file via SageTVClient, then that PC needs a decoder for that video type.
