Client Vs. Shifter

Is there anyway to get placeshifter to run dvds off hard drive? I know you need client to do this, but placeshifter just seems more stable?

As you already acknowledged: not as a DVD structured video with menus & all.

Maybe you could if you first convert it to something that is no longer in DVD format, so it can then be played as a straight video file.

Before the MVP extender could play DVDs, people would import the VOB files and play those in a playlist. I'm not sure if you could do the same in Placeshifter.
