Thumbs down No audio and clueless!!

Dear all,

I just put together my HTPC. Specs are:

AMD 2500 Barton
ATI 9000 Radeon 64MB
ABIT NF7 MOBO with SPDIF out
256 RAM
hauupauge win 250

I have great video!! BUt no sound. I did have good sound for a short period of time. I have installed all software at least 3 times. I have tried all combos in Sage TV to change renderer and decoder. No luck.

I have no idea whether the MoBO handles audio or the Win 250 card. Is this a driver problem?

In your sound card setup, do you have the SPDIF set for 5.1 playback, or stereo? You may be using the wrong jack outputs on the sound card.

The 250 handles all audio in for TV and the sound card handles all audio out.

Excuse me Dr, but do you get sound with mp3's or playing media in another player? One must consider that in their differential diagnosis. Most yinzers do not think about this. Just bring the thing to my house and we will get it all working...
