Downconvert/record component in one step - any plans to support HAVA products?

I'm looking for a way to downconvert HD component video to 480p and record it. My local cable company (Time Warner Cable) disables the s-video output on all of their HD boxes so I need do one of the following:

#1 - downconvert from component to s-video and record from the s-video source with a regular analog capture card. The downside with this is that I'll be encoding the content twice

#2 - Use one of these Hava boxes to do the conversion and record the converted copy to my PC without having to use s-video and a second round of encoding.

I would love to do option #2 but Sage doesn't support the Hava products. Are there any plans to support these boxes in the future?

thx
