Future Recording

I really like Sage and am using the SageMC plugin; however, I really miss the ability to look thru actors and movies that are not currently in the two week session of the guide and setting them to record the next time they are ever on. Is this possible in Sage? Has someone written a cool addon for this capability?

Several times shows will show up in my Recently Recorded on my MCE machine that I dont even remember to set to record. Pretty cool.

In addition to Title Favorites for existing shows, SageTV has Keyword, Actor, and Category Favorites, where you can set things to record according to those criteria w/o seeing the actual show in the guide at the moment.

If you are asking how to do that in the SageMC STV, then check that subject in the customizations section of the forum.

Thank you for the info. Where do I get to this functionality in the traditional interface. Say I wanted to record every upcoming show with Tom Hanks in it or a particular movie, say RocketMan?

Check out the Favorites Manager screen -- see p. 67 of the v6.1 PDF manual for details. From that screen, you have a few choices for adding new Favorites.

In SageMC look under:

My TV>Schedule>Series

You can then add a new series by selecting the search criteria Title, Actor, Category, or Keyword.
