Stutter after 1 hour point on recordings

I'm running sage 6.1.9 with a server and clients.
I'm using a DVB-S card and 2 cat eye's tuners.
Watching live TV is fine.
When I'm watching a recorded show that's longer than an hour, it's fine up to the hour mark (sometimes as far as 1:15), then the video stutters and then only shows 1 frame every 1-2 seconds. Audio is fine. On an MVP, the video gets blocky and smears. It does this on all clients on all recordings over an hour in length.
I've tried all kinds of different settings on my pc clients, (vmr9, FSE, different decoders, etc), with no luck.
My server has 2 500G SATA drives set up as raid 0 for 1 TB storage. The OS and Sage are on a separate drive.

What else can I check for, or try, to help narrow down the problem (and maybe file a more specific bug report)

-Jeff

Did you disable virus scanning of your video directories? What cluster size are you using for your video partition? Do you see any ftdisk or Disk errors in the Windows System event log?

If the defragment utility runs when you are recording or viewing a video, things really get messed up also.

I did some more research and have made the following discoveries.
It appears to only happen on shows recorded with MyTheatre
It happens on files at about the 1G point (so for a 2G file, it would happen 1/2 way through)
It's in the recorded file (when I copy the file to another computer, it has the problem at the same point)
When played in VLC, I get random colored squares all around the picture (in media player it freezes every second or so)

I'm not running any virus software.
I'm using 64k cluster size
I don't see any disk errors in the event logs.

I do see these errors from time to time:

Fault bucket 419158203.

Faulting application SageTVService.exe, version 6.0.13.1, faulting module TSSplitter.ax, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000113c6.

I did have Indexing Service turned on for this drive (must have been defaulted to on), I just turned it off and will see if this helps.

I've had the exact same issue through several versions of Sage, although it's worse with 720p programming than 1080i programming (or visa-versa--I forget). It only occurs while recording the same program being watched. My fix is to stop sage service and then restart it. That preserves the recordings and breaks up the files.

I've reported it to Sage, but it never seems to get fixed.

The simple solution would be to allow Sage to set maximum file sizes, which it can obviously do since it deals with Fat32 drives.

My HD files all appear to be fine. (I have 1 that's 16 Gigs with no problem).
It's files that come from MyTheatre and I'm only recording SD files.

Your using a legal version on MyTheatre right? There are some issues with some versions of MT that were floating around on the net.

You've done the standard things in MyTheatre? Turned off EPG, Video optimisations, file splitting? You have any plugins?

I got it working.
I removed and reinstalled MT and everything is happy.
