Anybody running SageTV with Vista 64 bit and 4GB RAM?

I just upgraded my system from 2GB to 4GB RAM, and now SageTV will not run. It comes up to the screen where the menu should be displayed, but the window just remains black and the processor usage goes to 100%. You can close that window and Sage will appear to go to sleep, but after that you cannot do anything with the icon in the status bar, and the processor usage stays at 100%. The only thing I can do at that point to close Sage is kill the process with task manager or reboot. All my other applications are running fine with 4GB. I pulled one DIMM out and am running at 3GB, which SageTV likes just fine. The video card is an ATI x1950 Pro, the TV card is an ATI 550, both running the latest Catalyst software and drivers. Any ideas?

I am running Vista x64 with 4GB and don't experience this problem. Are you running on a server level board? Maybe you need to enable/disable memory hole mapping. Is windows seeing all 4GB on your setup?
My setup is:
Tyan S2915 n6650w
4 x 1GB ECC registered sticks
geforce 7600GT.
Running Java 1.6

No, it's not a server level board, just your standard Gigabyte 965P-DS3. Interestingly, the total memory shows as 4094 MB rather than 4096 MB. I did not consider that as an issue since all my other applications are not having a problem -- but I could be wrong.

I am running an ATI video card and an ATI 550 tuner card. If the problem is not with sage, I suspect it might be a driver issue associated with one of my ATI cards.

Any other ideas are most welcome -- I hate seeing this fast 1GB memory module sitting on my desk instead of being in my computer!

I am running vista, but not x64 and only on 2gb. However, I would first suggest you update your Java to 1.6 if you haven't already. If that makes no difference, then try backing up your sage directory, move it then do a clean install and see if it works with the default stv. If neither of those work then I am at a loss.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am running Java 1.6. As far as reinstalling goes, I may try that, although it seems that some sort of corruption or installation problem would cause a problem regardless of the amount of RAM.

I am beginning to think that it is related to the TV tuner card -- either a hardware incompatibility with 4 GB or a driver problem. So a new question -- Is anyone here running an ATI Wonder 550 series tuner card with 4GB of RAM?
