Mac 6.2.2 Client does nothing

I fire it up and get a SageTVClient menu up in the menu bar, but after that nothing happens. No familiar SageTV interface window, nothing at all.

Am I missing something?

I tried redownloading it as well. That didn't help.

EXACT same thing here... literally nothing. I click "OK" to go ahead with the 30 day trial and then nada. I can open the prefs fine, but no Sage window appears, nothing asking me which server to connect to... absolutely squat.

Am I missing something too?

Seems to work fine here.

Does Placeshifter work for you?

Apparently, the client requires a component that is only installed when you run the full SageTV package.

Download and run the full SageTv for Mac v6.2.2, allow it to install the required components, and finish the configuration wizard. The quit out of the full SageTV and run the client. The client will then run properly and find and v6 servers that are on your network.

Yup, that did it for me.

That seems... wrong. Ah well, it's a beta

I took dgbruces suggestion and installed the full SageTV package.

To note, I had to run it so it would install some extra crap before the SageTV client would actually run.

Now the SageTV Client actually works. Seems to work pretty well.

I'm still curious about remote control support. I'll have to try the Front Row remote, but with so few buttons it's hardly practical.

Well, I can watch ripped DVD's just fine from the server. But I can't watch any Live TV, either from the nVidia DualTV I have, or my HdHomeRun.

I got the client to play live tv now.

To fix it, I let a show play live for a few seconds and then hit rewind, the video then came up and continues to do so even after restarting the client software.
