Hauppauge's TCP/IP Optimization

Looking at Hauppauge's downloads for the MediaMVP I see a tcpip-optimztion.reg file. It looks like it adds a maximum window size and sets it to enable window scaling to the TCP/IP settings.

Would this help to improve performance with SageTV or does this mostly benefit their software?

Back in the day I remember a fair number of people said running their optimzation helped. Personally, I have not noticed a difference.

window size applies to WANs with latency at 100mSec or more. With LANs, this doesn't happen.

MTU size should be max for video data.
