Weather Location
I recently moved and now need to change my weather location.
My first attempt was to re-run the configuration wizard (since it prompts you for this info). Unfortunately, every zipcode I entered came back as unknown location. Even the code I was CURRENTLY using. Something was seriously wrong. I then figured, maybe I can just modify the properties file manually. Well, it's not in there. Question is, where the heck does sage store weather location information!!!

Is your weather screen updating to show current conditions for its current location setting? If not, it sounds like there is a firewall issue that is not allowing SageTV to access the weather info online.

No, it updates fine, but just for the old city I used to live in..
I will try restarting sage and then running the config wizard again. Might have been a fluke.

Try using a city name instead of the zip code. I got results for cites, but zip codes didn't return anything for some reason.

This just started being a problem for me the last couple of days. The weather updates fine, but I can no longer change the location using the zip code. This is hurting the WAF because she likes to check the weather in a few different locations and it is much easier to input the zip code using the remote than to use the city name.

I think there's something up too. I just reinstalled a client and its not accepting my old location or a valid US zip code. I've disabled the weather menu item for now and will again in a few days. No firewall running on this pc and the server can get the weather status (although I'm not risking trying to change it !)

We'll be looking into the zip code problem, but as I said above: for now, you can search by city name.

I've seen this issue with programs other than Sage. zips don't work but city names do. Gerry

It it possible that your new zip code is "new?" Where I live, a new post office was built and a new zip code was added. This was about 2 years ago and I still run into issues with some databases. For example one national delivery service has the wrong city in their database. On some websites the wrong city keeps popping up anytime I enter my zip. Once bad data gets into a database, it really hard to correct things.

Update: It turns out that there was an issue with weather.com's XML feed, where it returned no results for a zip code search. They appear to have fixed the issue, so zip code searches for your weather location should work again now.
