Going from basic cable to Dish/tuner box - what do I need?

I currently use Sage to record basic cable straight from the wall (~80 channels). If I make the switch to The Dish network with it's own tuner box, how do I connect it to my Haup 500 card? I assume it's BNC out of the tuner box to the PCI card and then do I need a Ir repeated to make the tuner change channels? Is this worth the effort?

Thanks.

When I subscribed to Dish Network, I used a JVC 301 receiver and a USB-UIRT. I connected the JVC 301 with S-video to my PVR-350. I setup the PVR-350 to only use S-video. I tried using the IR device that is included with the PVR-350, but couldn't ever get it to work. The USB-UIRT allows the computer to change the channels on the satellite box. I also had a second JVC-301 connected to a television. I setup one JVC 301 to use a different 'IR channel' so that both boxes could be used in the same room without interaction.

I might be switching again to either Dish Network or DirecTV after Comcast cable 'jacked up the price' after the first year.

Dave
