Extender - Purchase and License
I'm going to purchase an extender to replace one my client PC's. My question is should I buy the Sage Extender or the Hauppauge 1000? The Hauppauge is cheaper and my reason for asking? Can you convert a client license to extender license? My current licenses are from 4.0, but I see you can upgrade your licenses for 39.99. Does that include any 4.0 licenses you have as I have one server and three client licenses.

The Sage Extender and the Hauppauge 1000 is the same thing. If you buy it from Sage it has their logo on it. I am using a Hauppauge I bought from pcalchemy.com, a little cheaper.
You are going to have to email Sage support about converting a license from client to extender. The upgrade fee is for server only, the clients are a free upgrade (I would double check that though) So for your setup you would only need 1 upgrade fee for your server. The clients don't need one.
