Q: any method to push external programs' content to the MVP?

I've setup customized menus in Sage, using Nielm's Dynamic Menu add-on, and its XML menu files. Slick.
I have menu choices that launch a theater-mode web browser for a given website, such as a webcam in London, dropping out of FSE mode for that, and when the user closes the web page window, FSE resumes.

Ah, but is there any way, without space shuttle complexity, to do that on the MVP's menus? It appears that the Sage Server ignores requests to launch an external program if issued from an MVP menu.

However, comma, the MVP can display web content such as YouTube.

I don't understand exactlly what Sage is doing when you make an external request from an MVP, however I can tell you they are not ignored. I have mine setup with custom menus per room, each has a lighting control menu which controls the lights in that room via command line tools.

You might try looking at the embedded web browser, however I have only found it as an STV and it broke my machine when I tried it.

Another option is building a custom network encoder solution, then you can stream that stuff via specific channels in the guide.

HTH but I kinda doubt it does.
