sage tv interface

I've downloaded tried and bought sage tv 1.4 which works quite well with my wintv pvr 250 capture board
however I find it quite impossible to use the gui/interface from my sofa and my friend won't be able either
the buttons are tiny
to see if that made a difference I downloaded sage recorder which is much better
I tried to capture a short passage dvd quality and it worked out fine

could somebody tell me how to set the "task bar in sage tv ?

I am not real sure what you are asking. What do you mean "set the taskbar"? I used sage for a few months on a 32" tv about 15' away with no problem. What size TV are you using? DO you have it set to full screen?

what I mean is that even on full screen mode I can't make head nor tail of the icons /buttons
especially those for starting and stopping a recording
I'm using other htpc software ( showshifter, intervideo hometheater ) and while sage tv is way better as far as encoding is concerned I can't use such an excuse for a tool bar
I use 70 cm tv set and under showshifter or the like I get a clear tool bar with clearly marked stop play record etc buttons
with sage tv I don't
I am not being negative but stating the obvious
I have just bought sage tv recorder because in that respect it is good and can be used without a cristal ball

You must be talking about the mouse icons above the time bar. those are not meant for full screen use they are for mouse use on your PC. If you are using this on a TV you should consider setting up a remote control.

The interface of SageTV is getting a complete overhaul in version 2, which should be avaialble for beta testing for all who hace bought 1.4 soon....
