Can't get Music to Play on Placeshifter

Hi All,
When I try to play music(an album) from friend's house on Placeshifter it cycles thru all the songs each taking a few seconds and nothing plays. I can see the play bar on the bottom of screen going thru each song every second or so and it switches from play to pause. I can play recorded shows just fine.
Also, when I try this from home on my laptop the music plays ok. Any ideas??

Hmm I seem to have no problem with my albums on placeshifter. What type of files are you playing?

And check if you can see something from the log file on your server

You could check the log on the server, see if there's an error.

The files aren't protected, are they? No evil DRM?

Thanks for the replies---they are cd's I ripped on WMP and they play ok on my client pc and also my laptop (at home). I will check the server log files when I get home.

I think you need to check your WMP settings - if the "Copy Protect Files" in the Rip options is ticked, you may not be able to play them over PS IIRC.
