Collecting IR command files

I am working with a guy on the Media Portal forum that is writing new free software for the MCE IR remote and blaster. I am using it now and to me it seems to work better than HIP. I have the new USB IR device ( TSES-IR01 )that came with the PVR500 MCE kit and with HIP only one of the blaster ports would work and the people at HIP pretty much said they have no clue. This guy actually took the time to help me through it with his software and now it works great.

He wants to write a plugin for SageTV to make install alot simpler than the HIP install. We want to include different remote configs and STB IR commands and I told him I would post here to see if anyone would send me their configs and or IR files from HIP so I can create configs for his software. If anyone wants to send their IR command files and remote config that would be much appreciated. Please email your IR files and .ini files to htpc001@sbcglobal.net so I can start converting them to the new format. The .ini file can be found in the C:\Program Files\HIP\ directory and the IR files are in a subdirectory labeled whatever you named them in HIP. For example I programed each IR command as #0 - #9 so my IR command files would be #0.DISH all the way through #9.DISH. If you want to just ZIP the entire HIP directory and send it instead also thats fine too, its only about 2.5 Megs. Be sure to let me know what STB the IR commands are for (make and model#) and what remote the ini is for.

I have not worked with other software but if you are using any other software that send IR commands through your blaster feel free to send with the make and model# of the STB they command also.

Also for all you people out there that bought a Microsoft MCE IR keyboard he is also writing new replacement drivers so the Microsoft MCE IR keyboard works with the replacement drivers.

The new IR Server Suite is here! You can now use the MCE IR keyboard with your HTPC with the MCE replacement drivers. This comes with an all new version of IR Server that takes the place of HIP and is alot easier to set up. This software has been fully tested in Windows XP and Vista both. This also comes with a new utility that sets up the registry for the EXETunerPlugin and EXEMultiTunerPlugin. I have tested it with 2 STBs and it works perfect! If you need help setting it up just PM me. I will be writing detailed instructions for it shortly and hopefully I will have screen shots this time.
