sound issues with Sage Client

I am having sound issues with my new pc and sage client.

If I try to play back a previously recorded show I get no sound. If I then go to liveTV I get sound. I then go back to the recorded show and have sound. This routine works everytime.

I just built this machine and it seems to work for everything else. Hoping someone will have an idea.

Athlon 2500+
512MB DDR 2700 memory
Asus A7N8X-VM mother board (Nforce2 chipset with integrated sound)

Any ideas?
