Hi,

Interesting thing. The files that comskip was trying to process are not in the directory that it is pointed at. I wonder if the comskip .exe included in Sagemc is trying to do the processing? These were logs from a client, and comskip is setup and running on my server.

Hi,

So I finally decided to try live tv playback. What a mess. Playback using my two ati 650 encoders will just freeze and hang the gui. When using sagemc I end up needing a hard reset while the defualt stv will eventually (2-3 minutes) recover from the hang. The odd thing is that when using my ota HD receivers (usb) live tv playback is perfect.

I tried upgrading the capture card drivers which turned into the old ati driver update debacle. After blowing all the ati stuff off using driver cleaner I installed the old drivers that came with the cards as well as the ati catalyst media center. Playback through ati cmc was just fine, no freezes or hangs.

For the heck of it I changed the directory path of the unc mapped drive to a shared local drive and the playback freezing appears to have gone away. I have only tested for about ten minutes, but that is about nine minutes and fifty five seconds better than I was getting.

It does appear that recordings using the ati encoders have worked just fine. It is just live playback that is a no go.

I did get a log of the live playback failure.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Jesse
