Linux QAM channel scanning problems with RC1

I just tried installing RC1 to see how it works. I backed up everything and did a fresh install of the server and when I go to setup my A180 tuner it does not find any QAM channels at all. Maybe the way that I am scanning for channels is no longer valid but I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction. the way that I am scanning for channels is adding the source, selecting do not use any channel lineup and make sure I select cable and then scan. If I go back to 6.1.9 everything works just fine and I am able to get quite a few channels. Any ideas on what changed?

Broken for me too, although according to a friend at work (and fellow sagetver) there is a test file he was sent. I will be submitting a bug report for the same.

B

PS Using fusion 5 lite RT and Gold RT tuners.

Ditto here. The channel scan shows it going though all the frequencies, but it is never actually changing the tuner. If previously the tuner was tuned to a working frequency, the scan will detect the same channels(s) over and over. If the tuner was previously tuned to a non-working frequency, nothing will be detected.

I had tested a new set of libraries to fix the same problem in 6.2.6rc1 and they worked, so it seems like something missed the 6.2.7rc2 cutoff?

I've sent the usual log files for analysis.

Appears I'm having the same issue with my HVR-1800 in windows XP running the latest rc 6.2.7

Scans & finds nothing, does not appear to be actually changing the tuner.

Appropriate Bug report has been filed

Interesting. I didn't mention it before but I am using the Linux version.

So both the Windows and Linux versions aren't scanning QAM correctly.

That seems bad.

Thanks for the files Qian. I am now able to scan and tune in QAM channels. however I have one last problem 2 channels are not getting tuned they are both in the 115 range. one is 115-0-1 which is PBS and I could really care less about but the other is 115-0-2 and that is Fox which I definitely want working. I know the channels are still there and functioning since I started up 6.1.9 and I am able to get the channel to come in without a problem. Also one minor problem I had with upgrading was I had to scan for available channels in order to get any channel to work.

Thanks in advance,
Jayson

I know I am having issues as well. I have sent more info to Qian in email. Scanning now works, but:

1) Some channels have video no audio
2) Some channels have a slow video refresh rate and therefore do not
playback correctly. Example is music channel which is sending audio
streams but only a single video image for the song. 66-0-32 was the
channel tuned here.
3) Some channels won't tune at all eg 71-9-1

He has already responded though. Some items won't be addressed until after the holiday.

Which pop up menu? Watching via placeshifter this morning, I right-clicked and don't see audio track as an option.

Can't get to that until later. Will report back.

PS
I assume a client will work. Main SageTV box is a headless linux server in basement.

QAM channel scanning seems to be working in 6.2.8r3 for me.
