Questions before I buy more licenses

I am setting up several Linux and Vista based Sage systems and have a bunch of questions.

1. We have purchased a license for a Linux system. However the install fails part way through and logging in as root does not work. It rejects the password. If it will not load on that platform can we get a refund for software that does not install? There is no demo to try so we had to pay just to get to the point it fails in the install.

2. I am pretty sure with a PVR350 I can only record one stream at a time, even with the extra port adapter. true?

3. Can I connect 2 s-video sources to the PVR500 as shipped or do I need to buy the extra header adapter as well?

4. I already have a MS IR blaster and have found through here that in order to get it working I have to loose my IR keyboard. A bit frustrating as the MS blaster is the wold's most common hardware for this use and Sage does not support it. Seems a bit of a misleading statement after sage makes a commitment to supporting the common hardware out there and this is the wold's most common hardware. So I have to spend another $100 on thier solution. Will 2 UIRT work to control 2 Cable terminals at once? (My MS one already does that :/)

5. Is there a Sage compatible Extender that supports VGA, DVI or HDMI? (ie to outdo the xbox with it's HDMI)

I'll let someone else answer the others. I use a USB-UIRT and am able to control 3 STB's with one USB-UIRT see here.

2. True. The 350 can only record from 1 input at a time. It has been a long time since I have done anything with my 350, but I don't believe it has an extra port adaptor. I believe the header was intended for a debugging type device.

3. Both of my PVR500 cards purchased from PCAlchemy.com came with the extra header adaptor.
