Cannot learn codes on Jerrold Cable box
(cross-posted to USB-UIRT forums)
I have an old Jerrold Analog Cable box and a USB-UIRT. It's one of those wood-grain metal boxes. I am unable to learn any of the buttons on the remote with the USB-UIRT. I am able to take my Sony Universal remote (RM-V402) and key in the code for the Jarrold and the remote works fine. But the USB-UIRT wont learn from that remote either. When I point either remote at the USB-UIRT I get no light whatsoever. I can learn other remotes just fine. I have the 56K version if that matters. I am flashed to the latest BIOS on the UIRT unit. Any ideas? Thanks!

It took me about 30 minutes for the USB-UIRT to learn the channels.
I had to hold the remote about a inch away from the UIRT for all the channels. Distance was important for the UIRT to learn the functions.
