PlaceShifter Experience

I had to do some traveling yesterday for work and stayed the night away from home. I had my laptop and PlaceShifter with me and just wanted to say WOW! It was absolutely incredible!!

I had all my TV shows, favorite recordings, music, etc, all at my fingertips and the "experience" was absolutely amazing!

Picture Quality did degrade occasionally, however I was fully expecting it. Having said that however, the overall quality while watching shows was better than I was expecting, and that was what really impressed me.

Having the ability to simply record what I want at home, and know that I can watch it while away from home without having to remember to copy it, or transcode to my iPod is exactly what I want!

I love SageTV!

I sent my brother in PA the placeshifter client so he could watch the naruto marathon I recorded last month. Its pretty freaky being able to control my tv from another state.

I sometimes wish sage has specific user accounts though. He tends to watch my tv and set all sorts of watched flags and change stuff I don't want him to..

The bum...

What we need is placeshifter for Windows Mobile.. THEN i would be a happy camper.

I agree with this whole-heartedly!!!

This would be the last MUST HAVE feature I am looking for before being 110% satisfied!
