SageTV tunes only one channel with HDHR

I just bought the HDHR, installed it following the instructions on their site. Everything seems fine except SageTV only tunes one channel, KNBCDT. I have 6 other channels but they don't tune in SageTV, I just get a "No Signal" message. All the channels tune fine in VLC and the signal strengths are good, high 90s and 100s (all green). I have double checked all the settings and made sure they are all correct. I disabled all firewalls also. Any ideas on how to get SageTV to tune the other channels?

SageTV 6.2.10
Java 6 Update 3
HDHR Firmware 20071015
Source: Digital Cable
Win2003 Server

What happens when you select VIEW in the "Setup Video Sources" section of SageTV?
Also: make sure you're using a new or neighboring channel guide, and that that no extra channels are activated (green, without having a valid physical channel remap).

Same thing happens in "VIEW".... No Signal. And yes, I'm using the neighboring guide and only have 7 channels enabled with the correct remapping numbers from the HDHR Setup Lineup Editor.

The odd thing is KNBCDT tunes fine, but the others don't. And they all tune fine in VLC.

Even though it's not recommended, what happens when you do a Channel Scan in SageTV "Setup Video Sources"? Does it detect any of the other channels?

Otherwise you may also want to ask Jafa on the Silicon Dust board to look at the issue by enabling the debug logging on the suport tab of the HDHR Setup program.

When scanning in SageTV, it picks up other channels, but when viewing those channels, its doesn't tune to the correct channel, it keeps tuning to comedy central no matter what channel I view.

Looking at the remap vaules in the .scn file:

# Generated by HDHomeRun Setup
CH:1 major:80 minor:2 prog:205 phy:3 frq:1 #:TBSHD
CH:2 major:83 minor:9 prog:501 phy:37 frq:1 #:KCBSDT
CH:3 major:80 minor:1 prog:502 phy:2 frq:1 #:KNBCDT
CH:4 major:84 minor:2 prog:504 phy:39 frq:1 #:KABCDT
CH:5 major:84 minor:3 prog:505 phy:40 frq:1 #:KTTVDT
CH:6 major:84 minor:4 prog:506 phy:41 frq:1 #:KCETDC
CH:7 major:84 minor:6 prog:525 phy:43 frq:1 #:KCALDT

I noticed the only working channel in SageTV, KNBCDT, it's remap value is the odd ball at channel 2, while the others are 37-43. So I thought that somehow the remap values are incorrect for the other channels, therefore SageTV is unabled to tune them. I rescanned the channels again with the HDHR Lineup Editor and unchecked and rechecked the Enabled box. I noticed the Remap values changed. It now looks like this in the .scn file:

# Generated by HDHomeRun Setup
CH:1 major:80 minor:2 prog:205 phy:3 frq:1 #:TBSHD
CH:2 major:80 minor:4 prog:501 phy:5 frq:1 #:KCBSDT
CH:3 major:80 minor:1 prog:502 phy:2 frq:1 #:KNBCDT
CH:4 major:80 minor:5 prog:504 phy:6 frq:1 #:KABCDT
CH:5 major:80 minor:6 prog:505 phy:7 frq:1 #:KTTVDT
CH:6 major:80 minor:7 prog:506 phy:8 frq:1 #:KCETDT
CH:7 major:80 minor:8 prog:525 phy:9 frq:1 #:KCALDT

But the other channels still won't tune in SageTV, only KNBCDT does. I already submitted a support ticket to SiliconDust.

Update:

Finally got SageTV to tune properly. It was the remapping values that was the problem. I saw your post (Conejo) about the using only the first number of the remapping x-x-x values in SageTV and now it correctly tunes all the channels. I'm suprised you didn't think of this solution since you posted about it a month ago.

Sorry.

In my defense you did say in your OP that you followed the instructions at the Silicon Dust site.

I think the real issue is that your initial channel scans in HDHR Setup created a bad channel map, so everything you'd try after that was bound to fail.
That's why I wanted you to try the unrecommended route of doing the SageTV scan that utilized the .scn files and the xx-yy-zz mapped channels - it creates a mess with the Phy and Log channel numbers but verifies the remap tunning.

I'm just glad you looked at your .scn and .xml filemap and decided to reset the original HDHR Setup mapping, because that's what really fixed this issue.

BTW, if those odd xx-yy channels are still in your lineup, you can get rid of them by resetting their physical and logical numbers using the remap button and they will disappear.

You're right, that was a boneheaded oversight on my part.

As for the scans, I notice that each time I redid the scan, the remap numbers would change. I'm still not 100% sure how that works, but I guess it remembers the last scan and uses the remap values to tune. Thanks for all the help by the way.
