spcifing tuner by recording
I currently have Huappauge 500 tuner. If I add a HD tuner how can I specify that it be used for the football game and one of the SD tuners be used for a program the wife has set to record at the same time?

You can do a couple things, such if you are trying to record the football game as a favorite, limit it to the specific HD channel it is on.
Another thing is with encoder_merit. It is set in your sage.properties, and each tuner has its own merit. The higher merited tuners are preferred over the lower merited tuners. SO, for example, with my 8 tuners, I want the 5 analog tuners used first, the 2 HDHR tuners used next, and the firewired STB used last. That way, if I wanted to actually watch some premium show, I won't find that Sage hasn't tied up my STB recording an analog channel that it could have used one of my PVR-500's for.
