Client giving playback error 80070057 on ripped dvds?

sage.playbackexception, problem accessing the file system (-3,0x80070057)

etc. etc.

Ripped DVDs (via dvdshrink) play on server and the mvps, but will not play on my Vista sage client. Other video plays fine, live HD tv, recordings, etc.

Suggestions?

tia

The client has to have direct access to the files because DVDs can't be streamed via the server, so make sure you are using UNC paths for the import directories. (Or mapped drive letters, but the service can't use mapped drives & the smae letter would have to be available on the client.)

I'm seeing extacly the same error. It works fine when the DVDs are in VOB format but when I use Handbrake .mkv or .avi to compress them (H.264 and ACC) I get this error. Do I need to upgrade from 6.2.10 to fix this?

I should also mention that the files play fine in VLC.
