Yes -- please check the PDF manual for the MVP's capabilities: Appendix I for DVD playback and Appendix M for the MVP's details.

MVP...
MVP is the generic term for the Hauppauge MVP (Movies Video Pictures), the device that SageTV supports as a standard definition extender.

The MVP-as-media-extender info is inside the SageTV PDF manual -- if you've already installed SageTV, it is in your install directory. Or, on Windows systems, it can be opened from Setup -> Help -> View PDf Manual.
If you have not installed SageTV yet, then you can download the manual from the SageTV site or see my sig lines for a link -- just right click & choose "Save Target As". - Andy
