2. Some custom sub menus broke with SageMC 6.3.8 and I haven't found a fix yet (see this thread).

I'll post this when I get these things hashed out a bit.
Thank you

Thanks, so do I. If I ever find some free time I will finish this theme up. Life (ie work) has totally intruded on my Sage play time!

On the same note, is there a way for the sub menu to pop up like that by just highlighting the button for it, or do we still have to press up etc....?
Or can it come up when we press ok, instead of jumping to the sub screen, like SageMC normally does?

Hmm, good idea - I'll have to try that and see how it looks. If I figure this one out and it looks okay I might try a SageVo theme next.
OK, I must be missing something. What is it similar to?

only very slightly similar to BTV. I'm working on making it more so.

That explains it. I never used BTV and never even seriously looked at it.

I'm not sure I'm doing this right. When I select Icon menu style in a vertical list (six high in one column) I can't seem to move the icons at all - I can shrink and expand them, but not move them.

Also not sure what the "focused main menu selection graphic" is - where do I select and change that?

Sorry for the newbie questions

Hi Brent,

I just played with it and there are definitely some problems. It isn't working the way I intended. I'll try to get them hammered out for the maintenance update. Sorry about that.

Aloha,
Mike

I KNEW IT. Dirk and Brent are the same person!

I could have told you they don't adjust very well. Which begs the question why didn't I??

I have the best luck adjusting layouts when I delete all the sagemc properties out of the properties file and start "clean." YMMV.

They come from a XBMC theme I've used in the past I think. I'll have to check to be sure though.

SageMC with a Windows 7 Flavor

I liked the background I saw used in some of the Windows7 Demos at PDC this week so I thought I'd modify the default SageMC Theme (no other changes) with one of those backgrounds and change the menu selection bar from green to blue. Here's the end result of about 1 minute of work:

Background can be downloaded from this site

Still working on my BeyondSage Theme. Here's the inspiration

And what I have so far:
With video playing in menu

With no video playing in menu

Knowing full well this theme won't be for everyone, are there any suggestions - especially from those who've used BeyondTV before?

On my to-do's:
  • Remove Music, Pictures, PlayDVD and Online Video and put all under a custom "Media" submenu
  • Re-work the looks a little more
