No guarantees here, but I've started working on a Holiday Theme.

I think I probably cropped it down to 16x9 in the file I included in nBlue - so that one should look OK at 1080i......

The moon and worlds look fat in your package also. No mind. If I'm looking for backgounds, what are the resolutions which will work with 1080? I'm sure other people would like to know 720 and 480.

You can find some really nice backgrounds at digitalblasphemy.com. They have some really nice holiday themed backgrounds. My favorite is called "The Ride". Unfortunately, it is not available in the free galleries.

How are you coming along? Also, for the movie cover, the reflections are they in the JPG or is the reflections produced in studio?

Its coming along very nicely at the moment. Studio doesnt support reflections so its not really a reflection even though sometimes it does look like one, thats if I select the right type of movie with cover.

For the movie type logos it appears the mirror reflection. And the movie cover looks inverted.

So are you saying, it's taking the same picture and adding a fade? What about with the movie type logos?

jaminben, can you rotate the secondary image in the reflection 180 degrees and flip it horizontally?

The flip and rotate picture file API calls in SageTV operate on the original image file. Applying them actually applies the changes to the files saved on disk. I toyed around with the idea of creating a duplicate file and applying a vertical flip to it. I haven't tried it yet, but even if it works I'm concerned with cluttering peoples directories with duplicate files.

Aloha,
Mike

sounds like a feature request to SageTV is appropriate then. You should be able to affect the viewing of an image without committing it to file.

I wouldn't consider it cluttering, since it would just be a second image file in that dir. As long as it doesn't slow down the interface, after it gets generated of course.

What if you had the system auto generate a set of mirrored covers, and store them in a sub-directory of the current import directory. Then have the UI (would it be MC doing this, or the Sage core) display cover art from the mirrored sub-directory. It would eliminate the "clutter". But maybe this isnt possible without major code rewrites in Sage or MC?

As we're getting reasonably close to a release I thought I'd share a couple more screen shots with you. Any comments or suggestions are always welcome

I like # 2 with the tint behind the description. However, I like the #1 with the position of the movie cover with the reflection.

Edit: What happened to the movie info icons? ie HD, 720P

Images 1 & 2 are both from the same import, if you wanted to read the movie synopsis you can highlight the text and it will darken the background to make it more legible.

Movie icons (720p etc) will not be appearing in this release but hopefully will make it for the next version, thats if its possible as it currently isnt.
