Wired MVP with Brdge - Boot Problem

Hi, all.
I'm having problems when trying to boot my MVP when connected to a Linksys WET54G wireless bridge. My server is running MC 6.3 and is connected to a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. When I wire the MVP directly to the router, it boots up fine and streams video fine. If I then transfer the ethernet cable to the bridge it will continue to work fine. However, if I cold boot the MVP while connected to the bridge I get a continuous "Loading Application ..." message with an occasional "Failed to link to GUI server". I've let this go on for a 2 hours without any progress. The router and bridge are in infrastructure mode and the wireless signal is very strong.

Can anyone point me towards a solution?

I assume that your wireless network has a different IP number than the wired one. If so you may need to set this sage property:
miniserver/forced_server_ip=

With multiple networks Sage has a problem knowing how to get a packet back to the MVP. The above parameter forces it to use a specified network.

I have the same problem. Which ip do you put in there? The server, client or the wireless bridge?

The server should have an IP for each network it has access too. It should be one of those server IPs.

I have separate IPs for the server, router, and bridge. Which one do I use? I assume I change this value in Sage.properties in the SageTV folder.

Are all of the devices on one network or do you have multiple networks? The Sage.properties value is to force Sage to use the correct network. If you only have one network then it probably will not do anything for you.

I use a Buffalo 11g bridge with the MVP. It will NOT work with the MVP if frame bursting is enabled. Similar symptoms to the OP's.

Also, every month or so the MVP hangs and does the nasty Can't Find Server game. I have to power cycle BOTH the wireless bridge then after it associates, the MVP. Sometimes the w-router too. Not the Sage Server.

My home LAN, like most, uses a single subnet for wired and wireless. I don't think my gear is capable of having separate subnets, esp. since the MVP is DHCP-only.
