No Video (Linux Placeshifter)

Recently I bought an EEEPC (pretty freakin sweet BTW), and I've been trying in vain to get Placeshifter to work. No problems on a PC client, but on Linux I've been unable to watch any video (menus work fine, but just get a blank screen on playback). The status bar shows good throughput (150-400k), but just blank video and no sound. Any ideas?
