Playing Divx through SageTV

I am running the most current release. I would, like most of us, like to use a single piece of software as much as possible for all my HTPC needs.

However, when I try view Divx movies through Sage, the sofware stretches the movie to fit the entire screen which distorts the movie and defeats the purpose of wide-screen.

I can use Windows Media 9, which uses(presumably) the divx player as a plug-in to display movies.

Is there anyway to have Sage also use the divx player? Or Windows media? Or even use any of the standard DVD players that can be set in the DVD tab without the stretching?

I've tried using both aspect ratios as well as the source options, but doing this affects the TV. Are their any options that can affect DVD(divx) viewing without affecting TV?

Thanks...

No, no, and no.

Most of us that watch divx on Sage TV have simply mapped a button to switch aspects. That way with a hit of a button on the remote control is will change the setting.

But currently there is only one setting, and it affects both divx and live tv.

Ah, that is an acceptable solution. Button mapping it is!
Thanks...
