Sage Client or New Extender???

Hey all,

I am starting to extend my system a little. Right now I have a SageServer running on my main home PC. We watch content through the old Hauppauge media extender.

I want to get a new TV for the bedroom. I am definitely going for a high def set. Our Dish receivers are all standard def right now, and will be for the next year or so. In the bedroom should I go with a Sage client on a old computer I have sitting around the house, or should I go with the new media extender. There is quite a difference in cost, and that is something I have to look closely at right now.

Thanks for letting me pick your brains on this.

Do you have cat5 and an HD capable TV in the bedroom? That could pretty much answer the question.

The extender is probably the best option as not only should it be easier to set up and run, it should be smaller and quieter than a client PC, important factors in most bedrooms.
But if the money isn't there then do both, you can always hook up the client for now, any old computer will do for pushing SD content (since you don't record any HD yet) and you can always replace it with an HD extender later.
