Watch an unused tuner on another PC

Is there a way to stream an unused tuner to another computer?

Sure. You can use either the Sage Placeshifter, or the Sage Client installed on another computer.

Thanks -

I guess my other question that leads out of that is...

If the main computer needed to does it have the ability to take the tuner back to make a scheduled recording (or at least tell me).

If you're using a tuner and a scheduled recording is set to happen, a window will pop up asking if you would like to change the channel for the scheduled recording.

Thanks for answering my questions, I am contemplating moving from Vista Media Center to Sage.

My only concerns still are:
1. The new h.264 capture cards... quality of image.

2. I know sage can do cable Video on Demand... how will it cope with DirecTV's offering.

3. Cost of ownership.- trying to figure out how much this will cost to convert. Would need 2 HD extenders, 1 placeshifter and the main software.

Can you elaborate on what you mean here?

My cost of ownership is (a) satisfaction and (b) being able to tell Suddenlink to bite it and switching to DirecTV & Sage. I was a BeyondTV user for a few years...just converted to Sage this past weekend.

Well these new boards that are coming out you are basically going:
Digital -> Analog -> Digital

I just wonder how much of a image quality hit this recompression will cause.
