Sleep=Control Z
Full screen=Control-V
Pause=Control-S
Stop=Control-Shift-S
Mute=M (?)

I can't figure out volume controls.
Right-mouse on full screen brings up Interface
Control-Shift-F Makes the whole program full screen or windowed.

This points up the fact that online context sensitive help is severely lacking. You shouldn't have had to do that...

I don't think the way to find\view\modify these has changed since 1.4. This probably should have been suggested before. Maybe a pop-up dialog that can be brought up anywhere listing them?

Go to Detailed Setup > Commands > Link Infrared Keystroke to Sage Command. That will provide you a list of currently linked keyboard commands and let's you link new ones if you like.

Understood, but it should be documented in the manual or at least an F1 help function. This would improve usability.

The hard part is that since the keys are so configurable, at best they could put in the manual the default set - which they probably should. It would quickly become useless though since a lot of us get sick of all the multi-key combos and add our own links.

It would be nice if different keys could do different things in different modes, i.e.

In TV Mode: up/down: volume up/down, left/right: channel up/down. enter: brings up EPG. esc brings up program info

In Play Mode: up/down: volume, left/right: skip forward/backward, enter = pause/play

In Menu Mode: up/down/left/right/enter: navigate menus, esc: back

I think that would make navigation much easier, and i believe you could do almost everything with those 6 keys. you could certainly do the most common things easily.

What would be a nice option would be if the navigation keys on the multimedia keyboards could be linked to sage tv. I know they are linked to windows media player and other media players. Must multimedia keyboards have play/pause, stop, fast forward, and reverse. If these could be set up properly, (for those of us using dual screen) one could hit one of these multimedia keys, and it would do the appropriate action w/i sagetv, w/o having sage being the active application.

I think you saw it in post #4, above.

Post #9 says how to see how your installation is configured.

complete list of keyboard commands

I see some people here would like a complete list of keyboard commands, the attached file is an excel spreadsheet (in a zip file) that I made up a while back because I too was curious what all the keyboard commands were.

I did not include the numerals 0-9 because those are obvious, and I added the custom commands for "aspect ratio (4x3)" and "aspect ratio (16x9)" for my own needs. All other commands were already assigned when I install SageTV v2.0

FYI, you should be able to print the file in "landscape" mode to make a one-sided copy of the commands with room to edit and reserve commands for you're own custom command list.

Hope you all enjoy!

Whats the Back/Exit menu key? I mean the key that is equivalent to clicking on that Gray arrow on the top left corner next to the SAGETV logo. Anyone know?

Edit: nevermind, its Ctrl+V.

Still, there are a few more keyboard commands that are not listed, such as SageTV Recordings, Schedule Recordings, Favorite Managers, etc... Can't a SageTV tech person post this info somewhere on the forum? Instead of us users having to manually figure it out.
