Arrow Theme: Sage Pro MC Theme V0.08 for SageMC 16x9 STV V6.3.7

Sage Pro MC Theme V0.08 for SageMC 16x9 STV V6.3.7

A loadable UI theme for the SageMC 16x9 STV. Requires SageTV V6.3.7 or later. Also designed to be used with flachbar and Mike's latest customizations. A SageProMC.layout prefs file is included in the directory.(Tested and developed with 6.3.7 RC.)Incudes some graphics from Foofaraw Showicons for the time being.

(A version of this theme is also available for the Default STV. Please see here for the Default STV version

Installation

Unzip the package into your Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\SageMCE\Themes folder.
First go and pick this as a theme. My Menu->Settings->Select Theme->Select. The list in the dialog box scrolls so go down and choose Sage Pro MC. Once that is done and you are back at the Main Menu choose your "Options" button or right click and choose "Customize Screen Layout" ->Import/Export Layout->Import All. Go Up a Folder and browse to the Themes directory->SagePro MC directory and choose SageMC Pro.layout. Choose yes to overwrite and you should be all set to go.

For support or suggestions, see this forum thread here.

Shades of Meedio
Yes I know some will recognize it from my Meedio Pro theme I did long ago.

Icons
Icons were originally created by Paul Davey. He originally did the GANT icons that are included with the Dynamic Menu plugin. According to the documentation included with the icons:

You may NOT use any Buuf icon commercially without my permission.
Features
Takes advantage of the new customizations in SageMC 16x9 6.3.7

If you have questions or comments put them in this thread. The issues you see may be more related to the new features and importing of customizations in the SageMC 16x9. Please pursue those questions here.

Gerry,

All the new work on SageMC make me want to check it out again.. Your theme would be one reason as would the AMG. Any chance the weather icon has been looked at?

TIA

Hey Gerry,

In the theme.properties file you can now put some hooks in for the AMG - of most interest is probably the "amg/color_focus_highlite" - set that to the color of your highlite bar (looks like roughly 0xBB5B28) and it will "match" if you have the AMG loaded.

For whatever reason, it looks like the main menu layouts aren't getting updated on my system (I go to import all, go through the steps, say it can overwrite, and it stays the same as the regular system). I'm running the latest Sage beta, latest SageMC, and the download from here. I'm also on Vista if that makes any difference (I'm going to go set the permissions on the folders Sage is installed in to full access if it's not, just in case that's the problem). Also, this is through Placeshifter (testing it at work) if THAT makes any difference.

**I think it was the bad .jar file from the distribution, I pulled it down like the hour after it was released, and didn't notice the fixed Jar file in the SageMC thread...

Looked at and changed.

Unfortunately I don't have the ability of defining a different set of weather icons like I do in the Default STV. I am going to make it a seperate download that you would have to replace the existing with.

(My next update for the default STV will have the changed icon for you.)

I'm also going to put in a request to flachbar to see if an alternate weather icon directory could be defined in the theme.xml like it can in the default stv.

I'm thinking it would probably make the most sense to just make the weather icons themable. They would then reside in a subfolder in your theme. The default weather icons would be moved to the default theme so they would be picked up if the selected theme doesn't have them.

Aloha,
Mike

The bad .jar file was the culprit on my system, although I'm still seeing one tiny issue, the text for Recent & Upcoming both are solid white, so it sort of looks a bit off (especially compared to the screenshots above).

Set it up on one of my PC clients at the house via remote, and it looks fine, could it be something with Placeshifter?

I'm guessing there may be another "older jar" file in your jars folder. Not sure what it could be. I didn't see this on my 2 ysstems, MVP or HD xt.

This is the way it is handled in the default STV. You can define the path to the weather icons relative to the STV\SageTV3 directory. I put the weather folder in my theme for the default and define the path accordingly. That would work great.

I'm going to take a look at this and work on it this week. Thanks for the info.

Love the theme, but I can't seem to import the layout. Nothing changes when I do so.

Same problem as me, check the last couple days of the SageMC thread, it'll have a fixed .jar file for import/exports.

Could be a older .jar file, but if it is, it's something from the main package of SageMC from maybe 1 revision back, reloaded the server and none of the stuff was copied from the old (except the wiz.bin file). I'll check though and see what's what in there..

Make sure you got the latest jar file from the SageMC 16x9 thread. And make sure it's the latest SageTV 6.3.7 and latest java. Other than that it should work.

Note that when you start sage up (and when you close), SageMC now automatically saves a backup of all of your SageMC properties, including layouts. Look in the ...\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\SageMCE\Backups folder. You might be able to recover your layout.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Are you using VMR9 or overlay? 3d turned on or off? Color overlay on or off?

This is on both the HD Extender, AND the MVP extender, the client PC I loaded it on works just fine.
