Fixed Audio Output Level?
I'm currently using a regular 3.5mm stereo output to RCA's to my surround receiver. Is there a way to set the system or SageMC output to 100% fixed so it does not adjust with the volume control? I am using a Gyration remote and EventGhost to control the volume on my receiver. The volum on the system is not proportionate, so it gets all out of whack. I cannot find a way to disable this at all. I finally have everything else working the way I want it and this is the last configuration on my clients I'm struggling with.
Like everything else always seems, there are so many threads and so much information, I have spent hours looking for what I need to know and can't find it. Yet, I figure someone will post a link to another thread, FAQ, or manual. I'm tired of searching, so I asked anyway. Please help. |

You should be able to just unlink the buttons from the vol up and vol down commands.

One would think...I don't see where that is set by default in EventGhost.

I think he is saying unlink those in Sage and let Eventghost control the master vol up-down.

That's what I meant, but I missed the part about Eventghost. Still I think gplasky has it right. For mine, I don't have the audio controlled on the computer at all. I use the volume controls for an external receiver.

Well, my Gyration remote flaked out so I'm back to using my Firefly remote. But I still have the same problem. In SageMC the Vol Up/Down commands are not linked to anything except the message events. The Firefly (like the Gyration) is controlling my PC's audio volume. I can open the sound systray app and watch it go up and down. I must be really missing something simple here.
I have been trying to use LM Remote Keymap but I am having a lot of issues getting it to work with the USBUIRT (on two different PCs). It seems to freeze up the UIRT and does not want to learn Ir codes. I know it's not the device because EventGhost learns the codes very easily. I would prefer to use LM Remote Keymap because of the proprietary features in the Firefly software, but it simply does not want to work for me. |

Making more progress with LM Remote Keymap. I guess exiting EventGhost isn't enough. I removed it from my startup and restarted the machine to get a fresh boot with LMRK and it appears to be working better now. Hopefully this will work out.
