Weather forecast on main page (with a twist)

I recently tried SageMC without any success on the ‘family acceptance’ front - too bad because it’s a nice interface. One thing I really appreciated in SageMC was the weather forecast on the main page - so... the attached files show my attempt to incorporate the forecast into the default UI menus.

The “twist” mentioned in the title is…. I modified nielms HasMediaFile() conditional to show the forecast in the media window when no video/music is playing.

All modification I made are stolen from all the great people here on the forum & then mercilessly jammed into studio - I'm amazed at how much crap a hack like me can throw at studio and it keeps on tickin'

.stvi??? Well I think my modifications are fairly intrusive into nielms dynamicmenu and not anywhere close to being an import – but I’m not sure (not a programmer). I could post my 6.3.7 stv with my modifications if this would be of interest.

Someone else had requested something similar on the Dynamicmenu post and ‘mechling-burgh’ started working on something like this. My layout is just a different use of the menu space (nielms mediafile space to be specific) so maybe I’ll just post over there and try to drum up some interest. I’d love to see it added to the dynamicmenu with on/off options like the upcomingrecording & diskspacebar options.

If no interest then I just might give the stvi thingy a go – it would save me from making studio modifications each time I install a new beta.
