hardware encoder non tv tuner

Are there any USB video capture devices with Hardware encoders to use with STB's instead of getting tuner cards?

I have an HVR1600 that I use for clear QAM and 1 STB on the S-video connection and a PVR-500 conncected to the cable for analog channels. Setup is working good, but I am looking to expand the STB capabilities to other rooms with the MVP media extender and add another STB to the setup. Children are recording quite a few shows, so I want to keep 2 open tuners for recording and have 2 for watching live TV. I don't use the QAM that much, but may have to swap it out for another PVR-500 as I have no open slots left.

http://www.hauppauge.com/site/produc...a_pvrusb2.html is an analog hardware encoder.

In addition, there is the HD component tuner that Hauppauge is releasing soon that is USB.
