file locked
My apologies if I missed this in my forum search, but just trying out sagetv using the trial, and when shows are being recorded, I noticed the file is locked. Is this normal for sagetv? I am trying to play the file on a networked pc using windows media player and get a "file in use" error. I suspect sageclient will take care of this issue but with multiple media centers around the house I am trying to stay away from that.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance

It seems to be WMP that's insisting on exclusive access. VideoRedo can open Sage files just fine while they're still being recorded.
You may find that once you get used to the Sage UI, you're going to want Sage clients or extenders on all your TVs anyway, for consistent user experience and so you can set up recordings, manage favorites, etc. from any screen.

And VideoLan also does not care about files being locked for playback...
